Definitely the same notes add before with more froth and a bit more meaty. It improved over the course of the night so give it some air.

Very well made, but the alcohol still dominates. It’s not obnoxious, but heat as the primary taste characteristic isn’t my jam.

Best on the second night. Opened for Mother's Day as it's one of her favorites. It certainly was last night. Great depth and polish with notes of spiced red and purple berries, wet asphalt and graphite which finishes with some cocoa nibs on the back end. A big wine for sure, but never out of balance. Great acidity to keep things from getting cumbersome and heavy.

Decanted for 8 hours prior to consumption. I look forward to this bottle because each time it offers something deeper and more surprising than the time before. Always present is the winemaker's rigorous attention to ripeness and balance plus the added benefit of concentration due to drought, resulting in an experience both pleasurable and provocative.
