This is a traditionally styled German Riesling. This particular wine was a bit too sweet for my preference and its 11% alcohol so just think how much sugar it started with. The fruit is big and shows throughout the taste and finish. there is still plenty of acid and a slight effervescence. It hasn't all come together yet but still shows super....Age for another 5 to 15 years for best development.

Some very nice components. A good nose, good flavor, good acidity. Overall feel, though, is of a good dry wine with extra sugar. Not really any of the magic that can happen with a good Spatlese or Auslese (and even some Kabinetts), where the sugar adds texture. Rarely for German Riesling, I think I would prefer this wine with a bit less sugar.

Bought a bottle at Truly Fine Wine - excellent Off-Dry Spätlese Riesling. Amazing nose with orange blossom, crisp apple, peach with great balance and fantastic acidity.
