If you had to choose between this for $18 and Apothic for $17 you should, first, question what made you even consider the Apothic, and second, buy this wine. But I would probably buy a nice cotes du rhone villages for around that same price over this wine. It's OK is what I'm saying, but you can likely do better.

Incredible find !! High quality to price ratio !! Very young, this wine is tasty, but needs time !! Composite cork easily removed. Consumed over five days in a kitchen counter aging experiment. This wine was much more soft and approachable after five days of oxygenation. I recommend decanting if you intend to consume now; this wine needs aging to achieve its full potential. Deep dark garnet color with good clarity. Aromas of black cherry and flavors of black currant, …

This is a great wine for the price. Very deep red in color with legs that retain it. Nose is dark fruit with essence of vanilla and baked bread. Taste is well rounded and finish is smooth but a bit “hot” given the ABV.

Alcohol a little to high to be enjoyable

Nose: Black fruit, black pepper, smoke, mint. Palate: Follows the nose plus notes of menthol, iron / roasted meat, vanilla. Smooth, full mouthfeel, medium acidity, medium- tannin, medium- length. Surprisingly good and varietally correct for just $10 at Costco! IMO one of the best QPRs there.

Starts out a bit fruity, but after breathing for a bit it is bold and vibrant! Rich, spicy, long velvety finish.

Dark reddish-purple garnet in color. Full, forward, & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty notes, pepper, herbs, minerals & a slight hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting & airing as it appears to be meant for near term consumption. Overall, …

Visited Costco today and this is being cleared out at most of their stores for $4.97.

Not particularly interesting on day one. Rather average. After vacuvining that evening I forgot about the wine for 5 days. I am enjoying a glass now and it is excellent. A beautiful herbal nose with a good mix of fruit and acidity on the palate and a medium finish. This wine could be laid down for 3 to 5 years, no problem. For 9.99 at Costco this is a no brainer. Will be buying 6 to lay down and enjoy …

On opening, this could be identified as syrah, but didn't have either blue fruits or olive notes. It was dense and dark, but not fruity. It poured almost purple. Unfortunately, after an hour or two, it became quite bitter and stayed that way thru the next day, though more blue fruit showed up with time. Drinkable, but I won't go back for more.

Excellent find at Costco. Full bodied with good structure and smooth tannins. Best $10 Syrah I’ve had. If I didn’t know the price I would guess it to be a $25 to $30 wine. Day 2 update: Even better on second day. This wine should be suitable for short term cellaring.

Solid value No way subtle, dark fruit and a touch of tar. Powerful. Remains provide an excellent sauce

Great expression of Washington State syrah for $10. 15%abv but doesn't taste heavy or hot.
