Le centre est encore bien foncé, mais le contour montre des signes d'âge (brun foncé). Nez de fruits rouges, de cuir, d'épices, d'humus, très cabernet de profil. En bouche, de belles saveurs de fruits que la cerise domine, belle présence, encore du corps, mais avec les "coins" arrondis. Épices, cuir, un peu de boisé fumée, caramel. Bonne longueur. Fait 13,8% d'alcool. Très bien.

Wines from Friday : IMHO, absolutely textbook, Napa Valley Cabernet. A wonderful core of cabernet fruit marked by notes of cassis and dark cherry all wrapped in nice velvety tannins withf a finish that lingers. It's nice to taste a Napa Cab unmarred by new oak. This wine is at a perfect place to my palate. Bravo Peter Franus!
