Completely opaque purple garnett in glass, with some fine sediment and a hint of rim var. N: purple candy, raspberry liquor, cola, sour cherry, black & hot pepper, some granite or slate. M: Intense purple sweet-tarts (especially on finish), cola, sour cherry and pepper, it was a bit hot on finish, wiht med acid and firm minerality.

Oaky and spicy. Forgettable. I had a Mary Kathleen from 2000 2 years ago that was outstanding. Thought this might be along the same line. Wrong. An average bottle of wine to go with an average meal at a somewhat expensive restaurant.
