Rich, full bodied, and loaded with enticing aromas and flavors of black cherries, cherry liqueur, cassis, and milk chocolate. The flavors are deep and penetrating and ride atop a voluptuous texture and broadly layered complexity.

Rutherford distinctive nose of clove, blackberry, oak. Cola and chocolate intermingle with dark fruits. Good balance. Not a giant killer, but an excellent wine. However, at $32 I'd rather buy Honig.

Really like this wine, disappointing Provenance has been purchased, feels like by a winery who wants to make low ball wine and get it in every diner. Sad

Bold, rich, delightful. No rough edges but plenty of depth. Dark stone fruit, cocoa.

Decent CA Cab for value. Seems like it could benefit from age, though might never mature to the level of elite. Enjoyed for a date night at home alongside steak frites.

Tasted blind against a 2015 Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno, and I didn’t get it. I didn’t even cellar this properly (25 degrees centigrade for 3 years). Apart from the obvious Old World characteristics, I was just blown away by this wines complexity and depth. Ripe flavors of dark cherry, raspberry, black currant with secondary notes of terracotta, rusted pipes, vanilla on toasted oak. The acidity and fruit were kept in great balance with an earthy finish that lasted more than …

Reliable and good Napa wine. Easy to drink on a Friday night.

One hour double decant. Very deep magenta color. Blackberry, wild strawberry and vanilla frosting on the fruit forward nose. Smooth, dry, dusty palate, with good acidity. Full, medium intensity tannins on the medium long finish. Reasonable value, classic Rutherford quaffer.

One of our favorites! Very easy to drink this full-bodied Napa cab.

Another nice bottle. Very similar to the other bottles. Goes better with food. I’m seeing the ‘16, will probably get a few, this is a great value Rutherford CS.

Needs one more year. Still a little alcohol heavy.

Very similar tasting to the first bottle. Quite nice, can’t wait to get the more recent vintages. Didn’t decant very long though (it was the 2nd bottle of the night). Had this with savory Rosemary and Herb Chicken Kabobs. Definitely pairs better with food. LOL, looks like all I do is grill kabobs as that’s what I did with the first bottle!!!

Strange that this is the first time I’ve had this vintage. These guys are typically one of my favorite QPRs for a Rutherford cab. This was quite nice, especially considering the price paid. Decanted for about an hour first. Aroma was very soft which surprised me. Taste had lots of black & red fruit with lots of plum. Oak and Tannins were there, but in check. Balance was really nice. Not a ton of depth, but it had a nice …

Deep purple with nose of blackberry. Tannins seemed a little stronger than expected that might mature over the next year.

Great fruit- dark cherry, other red fruits(strawberry somewhat present), mouthful of Rutherford dust morphing to full oak. This needs a couple of years at least.

Since Parker gives the 2015 vintage a 97, I bought this for the QPR. It does not disappoint. The nose draws you in. Mouthfeel is satisfactory. Palate of dark berry, a bit of oak, a bit of cocoa, and meat. Still quite young and juicy. Best to wait another year or two.Not much structure here, but is great with food and should last several years.
