86 PNP first night; 88 after sitting overnight. Dark purple, strong blackberry and plum flavors. Tanins and acid tended to dominate when first opened, but next night the tanins had relaxed and the wine opened up nicely.

This is a big ruby red wine but with good clarity. The nose is black peeper, plum, burnt caramel and anise. The fruit is forward with a medium to full palate. This Syrah is young yet and will become more complex and distinct with more bottle age and is a real keeper.
