This wine was one of the greatest values of all time. Last bottle... and the best.

It is important for me to write this wine up. We bought it on release and loved it for an everyday drinking wine at $31. This is the last of our bottles and we have enjoyed every single one of them. Gary Luchtel is a great wine maker and this got better and better with age. Still a full body blend with an elegant mid and finish. Really compex and layered, it is a huge winner. If I can find …

A great bargain, these guys make fine wine priced right. Is a very smooth wine with full body taste, but little tannins. Had with huge prime steak and held up very well. Fun thing about this wine is few people know it so they tend to believe it is a much higher priced wine... Again, great bargain.

Nice nose, msotly dark fruit. Rich, balanced, and very easy to drink. Almost non existant tannins. Great for everyday drinking, but has enough complexity for other occasions.

Pleasant, balanced wine. Supple, smooth texture. Not a wine for deep thought, just a pleasant quaffer.

Very interesting wine with serious Bordeaux characteristics. I never would have guessed this was from Cali. Not a bad QPR for a little something differrent (89+).

Very inviting fruity nose (raspberry/cherry?). Absolutely smooth, tannin-free on the palate with more fruit flavors. A faint black licorice taste on the end. This was excellent to enjoy by itself.

Corks vs. Caps! (Farpointe Cellar) : A nice nose of cassis, blackberry, herbs, and some cherry towards the end. The palate was soft and had blackberry and cassis, with spice and herbs on the finish.

Very fruity nose - strawberry, cherry. Bright fruit. Great for drinking alone. Had with steak at and it was not as good. Very fruit forward and a little oak. Soft and well balanced.
