Easy to drink chardonnay. Ripe stone fruit aromas and vanilla. There is a little bit of gras in there. The finish is not particularly long and the wine is not very complex but this was free so no complaints. Goes well with humus.

Might have been better a few years ago, but today it has an apple/pear attack that evaporates instantly and leaves you with thin, murky florals and a lot of quite obvious and unpleasant alcohol.

“Mixed Bag of Burgundies II”-Tasting, Flight 1, Wine 1 (non-blind), in October 2013. Press cork. The wine was medium lemon in colour and offered lemon, red apple, melon, melted butter, vanilla and some smoke on the nose. On the palate the wine showed lemon, apple, mango, butter and vanilla, paired with medium-level acidity, a slightly creamy mouthfeel and average length of the slightly bitter finish. A medium-bodied, entry-level Chardonnay from Burgundy with limited complexity.

“Affordable Chardonnay Tasting - Part I” (non-blind), in July 2013. The bottle was sealed with a press cork. The wine was medium to light yellow-golden in colour and had a more expressive nose than the first two wines of the flight, offering hey, butter, red apple, melon and some smoke. On the palate the medium-bodied wine showed apple, a hint of melon, some butter and a hint of smoke, paired with medium-plus smooth acidity, a medium-rich mouthfeel and good length. …
