Showing better than the 20 bajocien for me. Classic labet - salty minerality, high ripeness with a ton of tension.

Creamy and sharp Meyer lemon with a touch of salt. Very brisk, strong acidity and impressive length. This is one of the “lower” Labet cuvées, but even here it blew the Criots-Bâtard from Boillot I had earlier this year out of the water.

Served PnP. Labet is Labet, there's really not much more to say. While this isn't as wild as some Jura wines can be, there was a ridiculous intensity, tension, and acidity to it, and overall it's in a nice place now. It'll easily keep for 5-10 years, but why wait?

Craaaaazy acidity. Full-on lemon and lime juice with zest as well. Green apple, salted lemon, oyster brine. These wines from Labet really need more time to integrate and develop that more creamy and buttery touch - this bottle doesn’t really show it after just one glass, not in same way as Les Varrons 2017 I had just a month ago. To me, they deserve a few more years in the cellar, but damn are they just tasty…

Lots of minerality, acid, and alcohol, but not quite cohesive at the moment. Needs a few years of age.

Another awesome bottle of Labet. Really lucky to have found multiple of these because they are delicious! Deep golden color. Nose of overripe apples, nectarine, ginger, some candied citrus peel and pastry. On the palate, yellow apple, ripe yellow pear, nectarine, candied ginger, grapefruit, almonds, butterscotch, apple tart, wet stone and salinity. Medium+ viscosity, high acidity and a long finish. Its Ouillé Chardonnay but it has that Jura funk and hints of oxidative characters. Incredibly well made, balanced, expressive and …

I really like these wines! Lots of energy and verve, with ripping acidity, bright tropical fruit, and subtle oxidative notes. Fresh and clean!

Surprised by how linear this was for a ‘20. Lots of fruit, apricots and heathered honey, with that beautiful slight oxidation, with a strong acid structure.

Sharp acidity, ever so slightly oxidative but ultra clean and precise. A little bit of apple pie and lemon citrus, layered, bright and complex. I’m a big fan of Labet!

Aromas of cooked apples. Rich and ripe and round with lime and tropical grapefruit bitterness to provide balance. No natural wine CO2. Oily texture. This is top tier Chardonnay!! Delicious now and probably for a couple more years. Carries the 14% very well.

Great stuff. Less reductive than typical for Labet, which allows the powdery minerality to really come through here. Lighter in style with a delicate touch and balanced acidity, with just a hint of jurassic funk. Very approachable and delicious now.

Very young of course, so we decided to decant. A clean and less intense style when compared to, for example Fleur and Bardette; Somewhat similar in style to the La Reine. Lemon curd, flowers, some flint. This needs a few years in the cellar, but already does not disappoint.
