The second time in just a month I am having this wine. It was medium to dark ruby in colour and threw a notable amount of sediment. The wine did not have the most distinctive nose, but on the palate this exceptionally fresh Merlot showed red and dark fruit, some plum, a hint of blackberry, tobacco, tea and a hint of coffee, with lively, medium-plus acidity, smooth, well-integrated tannin and superb length. “G8 summit – An unappreciated variety” (blind), Wine 3: The wine was medium ruby in colour and offered red and dark fruit, vegetal notes, tobacco and spices on the dusty nose. On the palate the wine showed red and dark fruit, red cherry, blackberry, plum and cigar tobacco, with lively, medium to medium-plus acidity, well-integrated tannin and very good length.
