Deep ruby. Medium plus intensity on the nose with rich and ripe black plum, black currant, mint, licorice, chocolate, nutmeg, vanilla, smoke, and leather. Developing. Medium plus intensity and dry on the palate. Medium plus acidity, medium plus tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus finish. Can drink now but has potential for aging or further aging.

Bright ruby red 2016 from Ribera, 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cab Sauvignon. Aromas of oak and vanilla on the nose and then cherry and dried fruit. Smooth, medium bodied with plenty of tannins and acidity. A lovely weekday bottle at a great price. Glad to have a case of this still to enjoy.
