Decanter for two hours. Could likely have benefited from a couple more. Big bouquet on the nose. Earthy, full bodied with rich red ripe fruits. Tannins still a bit on the heavier side, indicating it could have sat for a year or two more in the cellar. Finish was vanilla/creamy. Decent wine.

13% alcohol. CS 55%, M 40%, CF and PV 5%.Long cork of very good quality. Decanted an hour ahead. The colour is deep with limited fading at the edge of the rim. The nose is not the most forthcoming, but what is there is very pleasant with dark berries, ink, and a hint of leather. Much more expressive in the mouth with a more red fruited aspect, a winning juicy quality and some menthol in the finish. No harsh tannins …

Drank over two days. Concentrated, somewhat extracted, and a little clumsy. Otherwise, strong sense of varieties and good sense of place. Judicious oak treatment, medium acid, chewy tannin. Solid, if uninspiring.

13% alcohol. CS 55%, M 40%, CF and PV 5%. Good long cork with about 5mm of wine penetration. Medium to dark colour. The nose is good if not overly complex, with red and dark berries. The mouth is very fresh with a definite Cabernet signature and fine grip. The oak is fully digested but there is still a slight perception of alcohol at this early stage. I believe that the vineyard of Clauzet is now subsumed in Lillian-Ladouys, and …

Bouteille bue, il y a quelques temps. moi qui suis plutôt "bordeauxphile", je l'ai trouvé monocorde et plutôt rébarbatif. Rien ne dépassait.

13% alcohol. CS 55%, M 40%, CF and PV 5%. Good cork of above average length and good density; no more than two mm of wine penetration. Decanted an hour ahead. Deep youthful colour. The nose is superb, with a harmonious mixture of dark berries and subdued oak. The mouth is equally satisfying, with excellent balance, admirable energy and a silky mouthfeel. A slight rustic note in the finish is not a negative, and the tannins are resolved (apart from …

Now this 2005 finally starts to open up. After one hour in the decanter, the wine is very balanced, medium-bodied with fine tannins, typical Medoc flavours that starts to develop some aged notes

Corked....not terribly so but the class of this wine very very evident regardless. Super super smooth, friendly, soft berries, a little acid to provide some lift through the palate. Bang in the middle of the optimal drinking window......am scoring highly despite the fault.

CS 55%, M 40%, CF and PV 5%. Decanted for an hour. Deep un-evolved colour. Lovely nose of dark(ish) berries with a hint of raisins as well. The mouth is nearly as good, with a light tannic structure (not fully resolved, but certainly not aggressive) and excellent acidity. The oak is not in evidence. Not at all austere for a St Estèphe, but just entering its drinking stage. I expect this wine to keep mellowing and improving for the next …

Decanted 2 hours before serving. Great bottle, definitely not at peak but it starts to show well. Great pair with a Cote de Boeuf fermière

Last time I tried this wine was 2 years ago and it was not ready. Last article on the RVF mentionned it is now approachable... Well they were wrong. Yes it has smoothen a bit, but it's still tannic and very dense. I'd wait at least 3 more years...

Bel équilibre, tout en harmonie. Un peu terreux et agréable, mais je crois qu'il est à son plateau. À boire.

Very good Bordeaux with a great balance. Opened 2H prior to serving, but can definitely use more time. Hold for a few more years

2 ans, 3 ans, 4 ans? Va-t-il s'améliorer ou il …

Opaque crimson. First nose of freshly cut oak, followed by a relatively big nose of fresh blueberry, dry dirt/earth, smoky oak, rather open, sweet indian spices and herbs, hint of ink and violet. Robust and firm tannin, but not smooth and drying, full bodied, dense and mouth filling, black fruits and oak. Pleasant short to medium finish of grassy and sweet herbs, sweet plum and hint of blackberry. After a while, smoke seemed to fade and mineral substituted in the …
