Dark blue and black fruit with a hint of menthol on the finish. Hard to pin down as it evolved over the course of an evening. Later it showed some limited red fruit notes. A very layered and structured wine for sure. Definitely enjoyed it. Drank a bit more like mountain fruit than valley floor.

Double decant, with 3 hours rest. Beautiful nose - smelled like a cherry vanilla ice cream. 15.2% alcohol but a bit more seamless. Well worth the $120 I paid - find this if you can.

Wow! Tastes like it’s already integrated fully - some secondary stewed notes, reminds me a bit of the Edge Hill 2009 Abel 1833 with herbaceous notes, dark cherry, stewed cassis, blackberry, intensely smooth, really awesome wine. Can’t believe it’s a 2015 - seems much older and more developed, showed even more impressively on day 2, but definitely ready to go.
