Dark cherry fruit on the nose with notes of earth, coffee, and nutmeg. Dense jammy tannic fruit on the palate, with a redeeming salty vinegar note, rambunctious and rustic, not quite put together in a charming way. Interesting, unconventional, grows on you. Good with pan-fried chicken thighs, buttery beets, and green salad.

Aromatic nose with a sulpher tinge to it. Dark color almost black in the glass. It is in mouth that this wine excels, with a terrific velvety mouthfeel. Soft feel continues through the mid palette but relinquishes on the finish to 30 + seconds of white pepper spice. Flavors in mouth include plum, mushroom, dark cherry.
