Light, low tannins. Decent wine for price.

A nice lighter C du R. Nice ripe red fruit upfront giving way to herbal/savory notes on the mid-palate. Very easy drinking, weeknight red.

Cool, the wine was smooth and light berry; warmed up though very jammy

Really good value. Loads of fruit. Raspberry, strawberry, smoke, peppers, other syrah characteristics are noticeable. Refined and smooth tannins and medium plus acidity. I think this would be a crowd pleaser and it’s a nice daily wine.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry. It tastes like raspberry and dust. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Opened bottle 4 hours before drinking, but no decant. Medium ruby/maroon color. Earthy, mossy, raspberry jam nose. Peppery palate rounded tannins on medium finish.

Vin de France Partie (The WineSellar & Brasserie, San Diego, CA) : N: Closed; Some smoke, poss iron? P: Med body; ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by a bit of astringent pucker which pretty much extends into the suprisingly LONG, almost swtish, very, VERY slightly bitterish finish. Tasting this wine side by side with similar Grenache blends costing 2 and 3 times as much, this $14 Cote du Rhone, while not as good, was not blown off the table. Dark red but not opaque with an inch pour. Gorgeous and delicious red raspberry aromas. While clearly not as big or heavy, this more elegant wine was bright, refreshing, smoothly textured, tasty, and fantastic with every food.
