My WOTN - outstanding Spanish pure tempranillo enjoyed last night in Charlotte NC at Arpa tapas restaurant as part of a Spanish wines tasting dinner paired with crispy duck with Kim and good friends Nitin Shenoy and good CT wine buddy neighborbill. Dark burgundy in color with a dense inky core. Dark spice notes intermingle with stewed rhubarb, black cherry and wet dirt. In the mouth, this wine is fully dry, medium bodied and kicking with acidity leaving a lush dark fruit finish! Well integrated with hints of clove, black pepper and the perfect amount of chocolate to make me crave something sweet and sinful. 3.5/5

Dark as night. The wine has a nose of grapes, cassia, wood and is really dark and rich smelling. Fine rich tannins coat your mouth while you are overcome by pure fruit flavors. Grapes, dark cherry, raspberry, and light spices. Very full and rich wine. 3.5/5
