Black berries and a touch of spice. There is a band-aid like quality that I can't figure out. Mellow tannins and smooth mouthfeel. ($13)

Spicy Cherry aroma upon opening. Decanted 1 hour. Stored properly. Color: Brick red. Medium body. Taste of cherries, red raspberry and a hint of vanilla. Shallow mid palate. Second night had flattened out and not much left. In my opinion, time to drink up.

Very rustic, coarse, with hard cherry, raspberry, candy flavor. Strong mouthfeel, very tight even after three hours. I may not be a fan of Languedoc as I haven't found one I like and this one is no exception.

Silly label, but super fine juice especially considering the vintage. Although not worth $30, this is a quality Rhone drinking experience. A producer to watch. Rusticly good.

Decanted two hours. This wine is very dark. Aromas of forest floor, pomegranates, and pumpkin spice. Medium bodied and very soft in the mouth. Fairly tight on the finish, lightly dry. Initial attack includes a burnt match, and spice, but not much complexity. Enjoyable, but a bit too light on the finish.

Though I was expecting a rustic wine scented by strong fresh herbs, what we instead get is a rich, ripe red that, thanks to its excellent balance and black pepper flavor, is very food-friendly; it went great with pasta with green beans and pesto. Carignan 60%, Mourvèdre 25%, Syrah 15%
