very very nice, typical chardonnay from california. Nice balance, wood, fruit and ripe tones.

Similar to my 2017 review. Burgundian. Oakiness a little more prominent, although that diminished a bit the second night. Perfect with a richly sauced halibut.

This was a pleasant surprise for me. I love the PNs and Cabs from Mountain Eden but the Chards have often felt bigger, oakier and richer than I prefer. Perhaps this one has benefited from more time in the blt then I used to give them? This showed up tonight with excellent energy and lift and well integrated oak. The palate had a terrific range of; citrus, mineral, spice and stone fruit flavors and came off kind off Meursault Ler …

This was tasted blind along with the regular Mount Eden 2009 and Mount Eden Reserve 2009 as well as Talbott Sleepy Hollow Chard 2013 and Logan Sleepy Hollow 2013. All 5 were decanted into identical decanters and blinded/randomized but given little time to breathe before starting to taste them. This bottle looked the oldest in the decanter with a medium golden yellow color that was lighter in the glass than in the decanter. There was some nuttiness on the nose …

Stunningly good wine at this point in its evolution. The wine at this stage is in excellent balance. Buttery elements come forward as the wine opens, but they are not oppressive. On initial opening, there seemed to be two distinct flavors -- an almost-grassiness with the undercurrent of chardonnay with it's richness. These two quickly blended into a lush blending of classic California Chard with just the right touch of buttery-oakiness? This is a wonderful bottle; glad I have 3 …

For the price, this is fantastic. Lemon, lemon zest. It is even better on day 2. Upon opening it went through some awkward moments for about 30 minutes to the point that I thought it might be flawed. It was harsh, strident. After 30 minutes or so, it opened and mellowed out to become a smooth, elegant. Floral notes. Nice long finish on day 2.

Light golden color, excellent nose with citrus, spice, and vanilla. Almost butterscotch and lemon on the palate, with a smooth mineral finish.

Really enjoyed this wine - classic chard lemon, citrus, mineral, vanilla and hint of butter with a long lasting mineral finish. Excellent

Deep colour. Nose is dense, showing ripe stone fruit, hazelnuts, tangerine and orange, with lots of lactic notes, rancid butter character, and buttery oak. On the palate, nicely balanced, with adequate supporting acidity and good length. Rather oaky, and somewhat bourbon-like. Good. Reminiscent of a California take on Meursault.

Uninteresting. Little fruit, alcohol flavor dominates. Somewhat redeeming acidity on the finish

Huge, a bit over the top but a hedonistic delight - Deep gold, full bodied with a nose of peach, apple, buttered popcorn, caramel and vanilla, decent structure with a bit of heat on the palate, sweet, intense with very good length, nice and a good QPR (89 Points).

Very tart citrus with a bit more oak than I prefer. Probably needs time, but I opened to see if I wanted to purchase more.

W scallops and cauliflower @ home. Meant to wait a year before having this. Color was dark yellow (strange for this young wine). Very good and restrained nose but a bit sharp. On palate this was more citrussy than other yellow fruits. It also had this sharp edge but it was good. Maybe wait a bit?? The style is certainly more old world.

Had a modern nose of butter, lemon oil, and smokey notes. The palate had nice balance, fresh citrus, and, for me, the right amount of oak influence. Definitely toed that line of being too sweet or oaky, but I thought it was pretty nice.

Fin, avdempet syre. Lang ettersmak med smør og noe fat. 90+ P

Domestics 10 Years Old and Older (Pittsburgh Blue, Edina, MN) : Small pour of this, and the label was torn, but believe this to be '09. Bright, nice fruit, good mouth feel, rich palate, apple, a little citrus. Quite good.
