Blackberry, red-fleshed plum. Brown sugar (flavor, not sweetness) and spice. Good acidity, drinking quite well presently. This wine punches in way above its price point, very enjoyable.

Really nicely put together. Blackberry, brown sugar, vanilla, spice. Good concentration of fruit, decent acidity, nice finish. Excellent QPR.

Good quality for $11, but overall thought it was average. Out of balance at first, maybe better towards end of bottle with food. Bit of heat. (Just not a big syrah fan.)

Probably the best under $15 bottle we've ever had. Stands up well to Syrahs at two or three times its price point. Rich, berries to open, smoke on the mid. An easy drinker, with enough complexity to be interesting and the very definition of QPR.

$12??? Is there any better bottle at this price point??? I really liked it for its dark flavors, density, complexity and minerality. Off-dry with a medium plus body and oh-so well-done finish! Outstanding QPR! Damn Paul...grand slam here...Thank you!!!

Rich, sweet, and a bit soft, the most distinctive element here is a set of baking spice flavors (maybe it's just the proximity to Thanksgiving), but while this was certainly tasty, I wanted something more - acid, tannin, earthiness - to counterbalance the cinnamon and brown sugar flavors. Nose: dark plum, boysenberries, cherries, smoke and caper juice. The palate is full with bright acidity and moderate, grainy tannin that smooth integrates. The fruit is ripe and sweet with red plum, raspberries, and dark cherries. There's dusty cocoa, sweet tobacco, graphite and lavender. Not a ton of complexity but a very cool combination of textures and flavors.
