Last bottle. Better second day. I think perhaps some people do not immediately embrace the flavor profile. It's mostly Syrah, but with the Tinto Roriz and Alicante Bouchet -- with a hint of Cabernet Sauvignon -- it emphases more of a berry fruit profile that is in contrast not conflict with the Syrah. This is a full profile, structured wine with a beginning, middle, and end and a fantastic bargain IMHO. I'd be happy with it at $18.

Rating this a 91 to pull up the deplorably low score CT has posted. This is one of the best values of a serious wine on the planet. It is a "big" wine, with structure, depth, and a long finish. I've had $50 bottles that do not compare with this $9 find. I will grant you, it's not for everyone's palate, with a uncustomary blend of Syrah (in a Portuguese wine) with Alicante Bouschet (a variant of Grenache) and Aragonez …
