A deep nose. Dark forest berry more than cherry fruit, florals and earth. Rich , full bodied for pinot, but really well balanced. Expansive with a tactile density that somehow it pulls off. At peak now and I suspect with some time in hand. Finishes with spice notes on the back end. A large scaled pinot that somehow pulls it together. Drinking well right now.

PnP. Medium light red. Lovely nose of red fruits, spice-cake, rhubarb. Lovely red fruited flavors with blood orange accent; good intensity and excellent finish. At peak. Lovely wine and best bottle yet.

Tart raspberries, Christmas spices, red fruit, and a hint of smoke on the nose. Good acidity with flavors of blood orange, raspberries, wild berries, and anise on the palate. Long and zingy finish. A lovely CA Pinot.

Served with roasted mushroom and garlic pasta. Nice ruby, with a touch of amber at the rim. Nose showed off red fruit with a hint of blueberry, and some earth as well. Medium weight, some tannin leading to balanced acid. Fruit and spice came to the party - along with the earthiness. Went nicely with dinner. Drinking well right now.

Impressive acidity and cherry/red fruit with hints of blueberry and surprising forest floor, earth, and even spice. Nice finish of 30 seconds, and improved with maybe 20 min in the glass. Still good for another year or two is my guess but this is just past peak. Very very nice.

Dinner at home, Mill Valley, CA. From 750ml. Opened and consumed over three hours. Last bottle of the 2007 Littorai from my cellar. In a beautiful spot right now. Mature and resolved but still with engaging tension between intense spice/dark fruit and good cut. Decidedly light on its feet, with brown soil and mineral notes emerging on the finish. Real Pinot character. Grew increasingly and incredibly floral and piney towards the end, like a North Coast forest. Memorable.

Gorgeous floral and spice aromas. Big on the palate with lots of cola. Needs 15 minutes or so of air to start showing the goods. This bottle could have gone another few years before hitting its prime. Agree with other notes that this is bigger and less transparent than usual for Littorai.

Checking in on a teenaged Thieriot, inspired by an interesting read on the risk/reward of prolonged aging for California Pinot. The cork took two tries (broke pretty much in half, but the latter still came out with a clean pop), but otherwise this is all reward. The bouquet is massive, woodsy & floral with orange flower water/Concord grape prominent and hints of grilled meat, cedar & sandalwood. The palate adds dark cherry, overripe strawberry, and toasted oak. Fruit is certainly …

Sonoma coast fruit in an attempted Burgundian style. Nice balance and elegant and avoids some of the off putting Sonoma Coast distinctions that bother me in this regions’s Pinots.

PnP. Medium light red. Fragrant airy complex nose of red fruit spice and forest floor. Medium light weight on the palate with very clean red fruited flavors; these continue on the finish which has a nice richness to it belying the overall light character. This is consistent w other 2013 Littorais which are ready to drink; this is just a bit better.

Singing with roast chicken. I might have over-decanted this - doesn't have quite the acidic zip I expected, so I think the first couple sips (4ish hours after opening) was better than the last. But it's lovely and medium - delicate perfume, but rounded fruit to go with the lavender nose.

Rich and fatty flavour profile with lots of dark berry fruit and a slight menthol note. Medium+ acidity and grippy tannins. Lots of life left in this - not surprising as I tried it alongside the 2007 which was still drinking well.

Rich and ripe, concentrated black cherry jam but certainly not flabby. Some signs of development with a tobacco like flavour on the end. Great length too. No sign that this is running out of life.

PnP. Medium dark red. Rich nose of red and blackberries. Quite full on the palate with now fully resolved tannins at age 10. This richer and riper than Littorai Pinots often are and perhaps lacks some of the clarity/transparency of flavors but is still a nice drink!

Drank a bit further into the afternoon/evening and so didn't take very detailed notes. I remember being very impressed with this though. It came on the heels of a Duckhorn Cabernet and just felt a bit more pulled together all around. Not too intense as some Cali Pinots can be, but fruit very much prevalent. Just well balanced with some more earthy sides. Enjoyed.

Like ball-room dancing with a Sumo wrestler. Fat and rich fruit. A tad hot. Better with food -- spicy, garlic beans took the edge off the intense, almost liqueur-like fruit.

PnP. In a busy large gathering so difficult to get careful impressions. Medium deep red, lovely nose and flavors. This was ready to drink with lovely fruit and didn't seem to have the issues with the last bottle. Better than an 07 Rhys Alpine had in parallel which wasn't ready.

PnP; perfect cork. Medium dark red. Ripe red and dark fruits on the nose; smells more Russian River than Sonoma Coast in terms of ripeness. Quite thick on the palate for Littorai, with excellent body and richness and still some tannins on the finish. I can't decide if 07 Pinots from the Sonoma Coast will ever shed their tannins or slowly lose their fruit. This wine has outstanding fruit intensity so I expect it may evolve into something more. Time …

Consumed over 3 days. Perhaps a flawed bottle. I have another (both purchased on release direct from the winery and in my temp controlled cellar) and perhaps it will live up to the other more positive CT tasting notes. This bottle was very disjointed. Plummy fruit, a beam of acid, chalky tannins and a bit warm on the finish. It really tastes like a warm vintage pinot that was acidified after the fact and never integrated, but this is pure …

PnP Light ruby color. Nice earthy spicy nose. Well the balance and purity here is exquisite. Today, six years after I originally purchased this wine, it's more clear to me that this is a fine CA PN but, not Burgundy. Its just that much bigger and richer than most Burgs I drink. Since first buying this I've morphed substantially to an old world wine drinker. So, this is still very impressive but somewhat less in my wheelhouse than six years …

Drunk over two nights. Suave. Perhaps a bit too much, but excellently well balanced, with just the right amount of acid structure, an excellent nose, and a good amount of fruity fruit still remaining. Can a wine be too suave? Really? An excellent drink right now.

Popped and poured. Dark red. Nose of boysenberries and the black fruit side of the spectrum with some spice. Medium full depth with a crunchy apple quality and a long finish with well integrated tannins. Not exuberant on the nose like some Littorais, but still a bit restrained as the '07s seem to be. Not sure if they will ever soften or slowly lose their fruit. Still fascinating wine.

Popped and poured; medium dark red - perhaps darker than typical for Littorai. Lovely fragrant nose tending more to the black fruit side (blackberries) of the spectrum with earth and spice and perhaps mint. On the palate has an airy floral quality with lovely velvety and spicy richness and a well-integrated finish. This is drinking very nicely; excellent wine.
