Benvenuti Teran

Herbaceous nose with chocolate. eucalyptus and barnyard all atop dark plum and red fruits. The palate is sustained by bright acidity that provides spicy texture, lifts and contrasts well against the plummy, merlot like fruit. Solid.

Seemed to lose a little energy from the last bottle, but still a decent drink. Went well with pizza and salad.

Really nice with Pizza this time around. Dry, with good acidity and some depth, too. Definitely has an Italian vibe to it.

A well-made, clean, interesting red. Nothing to go too crazy about, but pleasing and a good change of pace from the "usual" varieties.

Interesting red and very much in the style of the hearty reds from the Veneto region in Italy (Istria is very close by). Very tart and acid-driven, but with a deep core of fruit on the mid-palate. Kind of fleshy mouthfeel with flavor profile that reminded me of ripe Merlot (save the high acidity). This actually went very well with Costco ribs, but was not quite as enjoyable on its own after dinner. If scoring, 87 - 89.
