One CORAVIN Glas. Considering that Tanzer and Galloni tasted this behemoth 10 years ago, not a lot has changed. This wine develops at a glacial pace, like a lot of 2006 Barolo’s. The bouquet has violets, red fruit and sour cherries. The tannins are still clenching and advanced. This Ravera is full bodied and quite long. I’m not sure, how this Roddolo will turn out, and if the tannins will ever mellow down, the next decades will tell.

Bit thinner than expected for a Barolo. Well balanced

Pale garnet, almost transparent. Perfumed nose with great intensity. Complex with several layers. Dark cherries, truffles, leather and prominent earthy notes. Medium + body, with massive tannins and acid. Tannins are youthfull and fine grained. Rustic expression. Dark cherries and minerals. Long, tannic finnish. Pronounced minerality also here. Great potential.

Klar, dyp rød. Nydelig, søtlig nese med roser, marsipan, bringebær og et mildt streif av hvit pepper. Stram og elegant frukt. Slank, men med god konsentrasjon. Markante, tørre tanniner i finish. Lang ettersmak. Kan, og bør få ligge lenge. Trenger mye luft skal den drikkes nå.
