This was outstanding. Bold and rich right from the get-go but retaining a mineral elegance and lithe precision, as expected. The nose and palate show an array of jasmine, citronella, lavender, and camomile that is rounded out by a mellon and bright orchard fruit backdrop on the middle palate. Finishes mixed. This has an almost waxy/ soapstone texture to it. So beautiful; like summer in a glass.

Boy howdy, this is an absolutely perfect dry Riesling, and maybe my favorite Austrian wine. It seems etched in stone, and the complimenting fruit is apricot and peach, but not light and fruity as those fruits can be, but more like perceived through the stone. That's the only way I can describe it.

Concentrated, yes, but equally well-lifted. Such cut, and enthusiastic vigor. Beware, this is highly addictive stuff and not for the undisciplined. Fresh melons, ripe stone and orchard fruits, crunchy, tangy minerals. Exciting. 13,5% abv., highly recommended Slow-O 1 hr, served non-blind.

Lime zest, rocks, salty, lemon lime, dry, minerally, and peppery like a silver Tequila. Love this.

Gosh I love Alzinger's Hohereck. It is so complex and has tons of citrus, stone mineral, pulverized gneiss, melon vine,... it is deep but it is so approachable.

Rather ripe and powerful, but showing great focus and purity. Lots of bright citrus and stone fruit flavours tinged with saline and stony mineral notes. The acidity really stands out on the second day, and this shows much more cut and precision then. One to hold.

The wine was medium lemon in colour and showed some CO2. It offered citrus, peach, apple, salty ocean breeze and a hint of smoke on the slightly soapy nose. On the palate the wine showed citrus, peach and apple as well as a mild spiciness, a salty note and intense minerality, paired with a touch of residual CO2, medium-plus lively acidity and very good length. A very good, medium-bodied, very balanced Riesling that should pair well with fish and a …

Nez relativement discret sur les fruits exotiques et la craie. Attaque vive, le milieu de bouche prend de l'ampleur et du gras, finale assez longue et serrée sur une amertume prononcée mais bien balancée. Excellent!
