Very good wine. Met Jesse last year in Portland and have been interested in trying his wine. Given the region and that '14 was a warm year there this wine is bigger than I typically prefer but the plush and ripe black fruits are counterbalanced by savory olives and good acidity.

Unbalanced, acid is super off.

Nice fruit up front and a good earthy, flinty middle are completely obliterated by extremely high, vinegar-level acidity. Generally we are big fans of Fausse Piste's work but this one is just too much to enjoy.

PnP. On the nose carmelized beets, red vermouth, and cherry liqueur. Med-light body, Med-high acid. Palate reminds me of natural Loire wines: black cherry, thyme, raspberry balsamic on the finish. Very interesting wine and worth the price of admission. Curious to see how this will evolve.

On the nose, I'm struck by deep black earth, sage, and blackberries. Despite the heavy nose, great lime acidity strikes the palate early, ensuring that the wine itself won't be overwhelming. From this crisp start, there comes a great bloom of blackberries and blueberries on the mid palate. Dusty tannins swell later to provide structure as the enjoyable fruit lingers underneath them. At $21 from the winery, this offers excellent QPR.
