Last of 6 bottles purchased at the winery on discount. NV Restaurant wine that hits above its price point. Full bodied cabernet sauvignon, Syrah and petite Sirah blend. Dark fruit blackberries and blueberries with notes of herbs on the nose. Drinking beautifully right now! Wishing I had purchased more and hadn't been such an eager beaver and drank most of it too soon.

I had a wine tasting at Brecon today. Purchased some lovely wines. This particular bottle was previously purchased and brought to a dinner party with the participants of the wine tasting. Popped and poured with everyone knocked back at how delicious. Rich and full bodied with smooth tannins, dark fruits that are vibrant with some minerality and acidity. Definitely in the perfect drinking window! Enjoy!

The last bottle I opened was a year ago. Brecon has some wonderful wines and although this isn't one of their best it definitely is delicious. Nice blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Syrah. Nose is of dark fruit, layered flavors on the palate with plum, blackberry and some herbal notes. Still needs a good decant but has really improved over the last year with tannins softening. I have two more bottles but if I was to get a …

Needs a long decant. This bottle was a little hot, definitely not a pop and pour, but mellows and smooths out with air. Lots of lovely dark fruit at the start and through the finish.

I have no idea what's in this wine. It's a Non-Vintage. Neither of those things are damning, but there are far too many red blends out of Paso that are really not great. Brecon, on the other hand, makes delicious wines, so I'm trying this with an open mind. It's a little hot on opening, but mellowed out after a while. Wonderful nose of dark berries and oak. Deep red long legs. Meal of BBQ tri-tip and grilled asparagus complimented this memorable wine. On the palate initially smooth and food friendly with some complexity with soft tannins mid-palate and a medium finish. Lovely!!
