16 year old Ben Rye! Pours an alarmingly deep tawny. Taste is still there, though. Preserved peaches, apricots and figs. full bodied and sweet with a nice finish.

Nonostante la finestra lo indicasse da bere entro il 2009-10, questo 2003 bevuto dopo 12 anni di invecchiamento è stato davvero emozionante. Strepitoso

Unctuous with pineapple, baked apple and pear. A delight to sip, very good with Brie. This bottle has been open almost a month, and it is as tasty as the night it was opened.

Gift from Fed's parents way back with Fed was here. Drank with Federico and the Croneys the Thursday before Mike's wedding - great after dinner drink - like port with a grape skin finish. Very nice!

Gift from Alex. Had this with bread pudding with a spiced rum sauce. Quite good and full bodied. Sweet, but not cloying. Very enjoyable and interesting flavors. Zibibbo grape, which we'd never had before.

This desert wine is like an over ripe peach, with enough acidity to be balanced. Breat with bread pudding or a carmel flan.

Sweet and at the same time the freshness that make this wine great along with i.e. sweet desserts or strong/matured cheese. Consumed along with Chevre Soignon. Did'nt need bisquits. Great combination.

Had this at Frisson, in San Francisco, side by side with a Spanish muscat of the same vintage. Man oh boy, this is the nuts! Complex, musky fruit aromas, a dark golden color, subtle flavors of musk melon, ginger, cinnamon. Fantastic!

Italy is more than Tuscany and Piemonte, capiche? (Casa mia, Columbus Ohio) : Sedate nose with candied fruit and orange blossom. Just licquorous and lush honey on the palate - you can feel the Sicilian sun. Bright acids, lime leaves, orange flower. Lovely tingle like raw honey. Biscuity notes and creme brûlée. Lovely. Delicious.

A handful of Italians, no Tuscany/Piedmont Allowed (Columbus, OH) : Really fresh nose with candied orange peel, flowers, and pineapple cake notes. Intensely sweet and, while quite viscous, remains really vibrant and refreshingly light on its feet. Really good.

Bob Fyke in Queens : exactly as expected. Amazing nose fruit salad best describes it. deliciously sweet and not cloying but - as many muscats - a lack of a finish. Yummy stuff and a 95+ point nose. Nice way to finish a dinner. 2nd day ...WOW now the finish is there - with dried apricots - YUM and the nose is still a 95+ ..in fact this may have the potential to age.... need more :)

A deep gold. Elegant, raisined muscat floral nose. Immediately sweet on the attack, then some fresh acidity cuts in. Very elegant indeed with excellent balance and a clean finish.
