Colterenzio Schreckbichl Pfefferer

Bottle was from year 2019 and we drank it end of 2021. At first, I had the typical Pfefferer nose, but after 5m it was completely gone. So drinking window would be 1 year after release, in my opinion.

This delicious higher altitude Moscato Giallo is a perfect aperitif or pool/porch pounder. Pronounced aromas of honeysuckle, orange blossom, ripe lemon, ripe peach, lychee, nutmeg, ginger and musk. The palate is dry, but rich with youthful, grapey, tart tropical fruit, grapefruit and lime. Med (+) to high acidity, moderate alcohol and med (+) to pronounced flavor intensity and a med (+) finish. Think of Torrontes aromas with the palate of a NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Worth seeking out.

Really good yellow muscat. Very fragrant and loaded with tropical fruits and spices. Naturally sweet with balancing acidity and long aftertaste. Duck rillettes is an excellent pairing.
