Aged for almost 18 years, just past peak !! Cork was near perfect with tartrate crystals on the inner surface, easily removed. Consumed over three days, vac u vin and refrigerated. My favorite white varietal. Dark honey color, excellent clarity with medium oxidation. Perfumed floral aromas of honeysuckle, peach, and pear; soft flavors of apricot, pear, and lichee nut with a long flavorful mineral rich finish. This Roussanne is nicely balanced and has demonstrated great agebillity, but near the end …

Wine arrived direct from Tablas Creek cellar. Wonderful dark golden almost honey like color profile. Aromatics were amazing with lots of honey, spice a d pear. Highly viscous, full and rich on the palate with great mouthfeel. On the palate more of the same including stone fruit pith, spice and some wonderful herbaceous notes. Finish is long and rich. Excellent example of rousanne aging potential.

This wine came as part of the Spring 2023 allocation. This is my first time with a 10-year-old white wine. The mouth is aking spice, stone fruit, baked pear, and vanilla, with a butterscotch finish. I would have scored higher if there would have been more(any) acidity to provide some lift.

In my 2017 TN I wrote "not sure if there's much in here to evolve". Well, there was. This was outstanding from PnP and even drank well with ~1/3 bottle stoppered and consumed two nights later. Like BVAL, my bottle was included with a recent club shipment and so would have been stored in ideal conditions. Depth and richness, honey, spice, marzipan, all in harmony with yet enough acid to keep it from ever getting boring or heavy. BVAL's March …

Received as part of the current Vinsider shipment from Tablas: held by them at the winery since release 10 years ago (so cool). Couldn't hold off trying this (I waited a full 2 days after it arrived) and it showed off the classic tertiary Roussanne notes I was hoping for. Color/App: deep yellow core with gold tints; medium + viscosity. Stellar, mature Roussanne bouquet of beeswax and lanolin, golden raisins, peach pit and a touch of honey. Palate not quite …

Dark yellow in glass. Mineral, aged citrus, hints of ginger, yellow stone fruit, pear, honey, well balanced acidity with moderate long finish. Rich and full with clean expression, some tertiary notes coming on, aging gracefully. Drink up. Enjoyable before, during and after dinner. Grilled pork shops, sauteed garden Russian kale, fennel salad. Great complement to food.

Interesting with all the different perspectives. I loved this with my wife’s chicken. In balance and with hazelnut and pine nut flavors. Certainly a good wine. Purchased at the winery and shipped to Baltimore.

PnP. I can only think that I did not give this wine enough air before consuming. There was virtually no nose. The palate had a medium plus mouthfeel, some minerality, and juicy acidity, but little to no fruit character-- even by the end of the one hour meal. There was, however, some bitterness on the finish.

Med/- gold color. Opens up very subtle nose, very mineral palate. With 10 minutes in the glass, peach fruit emerges on a long finish. Palate softened up, after initially some hard and edged iceberg-iness. Had a hard extract edge, sto has it but the billowing fruit balances it out.

Ready to drink IMO, not sure if there's much in here to evolve, but I could be surprised. Mid-weight for the varietal with medium acidity, touches of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and a spiciness. Long, but not deep, finish.

Beautiful golden color to it. Has a nice rich and creamy texture of honey and minerals right in the beginning. The fruit is peach, pear, and melon. Also, has sort of a nutty characteristic to it. Medium acidity and finish.

Medium to deep greenish-gold. Beautiful color. Strong lime, almond, floral aromas, together with typical Roussane waxy notes and some minerality. Some oak is evident, but it is subtle. Thick, viscous mouthfeel, low to medium acidity, light bitterness on the medium I tension finish. Textbook Roussanne.

Deep burnished yellow; bright and clear. Good legs. Very shy nose; delicate with minerals and slightly creamy. Shows up more on the palate, where it is ethereally light, precise, focused and balanced. Mid palate the wine unfolds to show off fine rich flavors and concentration. Builds to a rich even powerful finish. 4-11-16-8: 89/100.

Very impressed by the deep gold color this has gained over the years. Quince and honey on the nose, which leads to butter and toast on the palate. Medium to full bodied, with a depth and richness to match the color. Much of the acidity is gone, but the finish lingers.

Excellent white that manages to have thick, voluptuous texture along with a sense of lift to the white fruit, orange honey, and light spice flavors. The nose features creamy vanilla and lemon verbana with a tropical twist. This wine has a deep, nutty persistence. Totally delicious, this exceeded my reasonably high expectations based on the previous vintage. I agree that it shows especially well at or slightly cooler than cellar temperature. PS: I paid $16 for this!?????? One of my …

A nice rousanne, but suffers the comparison to its bigger brother, the Esprit de Beaucastel blanc. That said, some time to warm up does wonders, adding weight, layers and softness to this wine, which is a bit harsh right out of the chute. I share the view raised in earlier reviews that this should be served warmer than refrigerator temperatures. Starts out at 88pts, evolves to 90.

Medium gold...still that nod towards the usual citrus elements on the nose with a accent on oranges and tropical fruit. A good entry and medium grip at mid palate with the accent...again...on orange marmalade, in a good way. Good balance and easy to drink.

Just fantastic, once again. Bright gold in color. Delicious aromas of hay and chamomile. The flavor spectrum is of honey melon, lifted by citrus notes. Heavier in the mouth than many whites, this has mineral inflections that keep the wine interesting.

Excellent, well-made wine. Served with a strongly flavoured fish dish, and matched the food perfectly. Strong, muscular white with great intensity and long finish. Has a kind of Chablis feel to it - minerally is a word which comes to mind - but the flavour profile is different. Loved the wine, but it's now sold out at the winery.

Ooooh, I love this wine. Had it with halibut last night and it brought out more of the sweet undertones than when drinking it while cooking. Aroma is lavender, honey and a hint of lemon meringue - but not a sweet wine. Nice and dry, with a warm silky feel in the mouth. Better when it is warmer, I believe that this should be drunk at cellar temp, not chilled.

Medium gold color and a very citrusy nose that had a strong leaning toward oranges and a tart pineapple backing...very nice. Velvety fruit grip that enveloped the tounge lightly, but was then strong enough to give ample hang time on the finish. This is good stuff showing several layers of rounded personality as it warmed in the glass...
