Is it fair to say that I traditionally have enjoyed this beer, and I appreciate the blend that was produced this time around, but that it wasn't for me? I've notoriously not been a fan of tequila for quite some time and, while some of the stout and dark ale notes certainly come through, they are overwhelmed to my palate by the agave in the wheatwine, which lends an aggressive tequila-forward character that I'm just not a huge fan of. …

I've traditionally been a huge fan of these blends, and this one is not an exception, let me be clear. But the agave wheatwine component is so strong that I feel like it overtakes most of the character of the other parts of the blend. There's dark Belgian ale in here, but I got almost none of that; meanwhile, while stout notes are easy enough to identify, I feel like there's a prominent tequila note (which is not my favorite) …
