Ravines Wine Cellars Keuka Village Red

Love Ravines' dry riesling, so I thought I would try a red. Unfortunately, it didnt meet expectations. The wine was certainly drinkable, but lacking in character. This wine may show better at a colder serving temp, like an Alsacian red is typically served. Fruit was minimal and body was lacking.

If you like a strong peppery finish this is the wine for you. Great with steak, hamburgers and anything that a Zinfandel would be good with. Warning, this is a much stronger peppery finish than Zin.
