Slow ox for one hour. This has an attractive nose of violets, cherries and plum. The palate is fairly full bodied and enveloping sporting juicy ripe black cherry, red licorice, a bit of earth with fairly evident but not overwhelming oak treatment. There is no doubt about the quality of the winemaking here but is a bit too much in your face for my taste.

Nice nose of strawberry, earth and flowers. This is aging nicely. It’s a big pinot but one that has good balance and transparency and I can see aging gracefully for another five to ten years.. Flavors of sweet strawberry, earth and spice come though. The fruit flavors here are dialed up a tad to sweet for my taste though.

Very ripe, could possibly pass for a syrah based on some attributes. big fruit and ripe finish, with some effervescence?* Not my cup of tea

Carmel cherries on the nose. There is a stealth quality to this wine. When it was at cellar temp it hits the back of your throat you think there is not much here but as it warms and sits in your mouth it builds depth with cherries, cranberries, caramel and some tar. Firm tannins accompany the fruit. Holding is not a bad option, I taste no signs of fading fast.

I enjoyed this Pinot but thought it was not what I expected from Morlet. Notes of Strawberry and Cranberry, well balanced with spicy and earthy notes coming through. Fell off on day two and three.
