Short decant 1 hour. Really nice black fruit, blackberry, cassis hint of chocolate with silky tannins. This bottle still had plenty of life

Drank without a decant, and the wine was lovely and lively with just a minute of air in the glass. Black cherry, raspberry, cinnamon, a little graphite and black pepper on the finish, which went on and on. Tannins are soft, but provide more than enough structure to hold everything together. Really enjoyed this bottle.

Drinking well, but probably not for much longer. Did not decant, which I think is the right approach for this wine now.

Glad we drank this now, as it is hanging onto the end of its peak. Still beautiful but you can taste and see the downturn coming.

Nose: Voluminous blueberry, cassis, cigar wrapper and pencil/graphite. As it opened some spice was added and the black fruit grew in depth on the nose. This was unique on the nose, and did not have any overripe tendencies despite the extraction. Palate: Deepest black berry, cassis and charcoal notes of the group. There is a really nice pencil/graphite and wet rock note in the mid-plalate and just a bit of an herb note coming out. Still has some angular edges …

Short decant for sediment, nice nose of black fruits with a hint of cinnamon, vibrant black fruits on the palate, smooth as silk, tannins are resolved, some cassis as well. Lovely wine, drink now.

15.1% abv. Enjoyed over two days. On day 1 I actually thought maybe the bottle was ruined by poor storage. It was so tight. But this was great on day 2. Sweet nose and sour cherry notes. Polished juicy and mildly puckering fruit. Truly jekyll and Hyde. You need to enjoy over 2 days.

The 2010 Tor To-Kalon Cabernet evolved through several phases in the course of an evening: unstructured and jammy with blue-black fruit after a one hour decant, then an hour or so later turning savory with diminished fruit (on the red spectrum now) an hour, and then by hour three filling out into a nicely balanced napa cab that was back to the blue spectrum with both ample fruit, good structure and a strong finish. An interesting experience but next time …

Day 1: This is that kind of experience that you expect a wow and you only get ok....good. Not as concentrated as "Corra Wines", luckily I did use my Coravin therefore I will try it in a few more months....hopefully I can wait that long. Day 2: it really improved over time....clearly I could not wait that long to finish off the bottle. I did get the 'WOW" factor here, the wine showed more layers and finesse. Recommended 100%.

One of the finest California Cabernet Sauvignons I've ever tasted. Decanted an hour before serving. Found no solids which suggests it was filtered at the winery. Very full flavored with energy, red berries and spice. It's hard to describe just how wonderful this was. The only thing one might quibble with the aftertaste. Otherwise, it was almost perfect. This was a perfect companion to a fine, thick strip steak.

Half the bottle tonight and half tomorrow. Beautiful nose and super smooth on the palate. Lovely finish and just a really lovely wine. Not too bold, easy to cocktail if you wish but great paired with grilled filet and mushrooms as well. Anxious to see if any deep/savory notes tomorrow.

Dark rich brooding aromas of black fruits, purple plum, with a slight oak charred note. Palate follows a rich dense spice sweet black fruit driven wine. Still very young, yet well put together and quite rich. Will be great to see this in another 10 years, all the raw materials their just needs time to mellow a bit more. Impressive.

This was redder fruited, lighter bodied and more acidic than my last bottle 3 years ago. Based on this bottle, I'd say drink them if you got them. Still very nice silky wine. I didn't get as much complexity as I hoped - there is spiciness and some faint mocha but I think the acidity overwhelmed my tastebuds.

A very nice, pure-tasting CA cab. Nose that’s dark and brooding, maybe offering up blackberry and a little sweet vanilla bean, but on the palate it is all cassis, plum, violet. No savory flavors at this point, but polished tannins, appropriate acidity, great length. It’s a beautiful cab. I understand AG’s comment if “lack of place” - but this is a beautiful, big (and not at all “heavy”) Cali cab, it tastes like it, and it shouldn’t be down-graded because …

OK, just WOW! Just a beautiful, sophisticated, balanced, layered, velvety, seamless beauty. Nothing overblown or missing -- it's a wine that can fool you into drinking like a quaffer but swirl and savor in your mouth and oh my! It is so smooth, so deep, so many flavors... 5 hour decant. Not quite perfection for my taste as the nose was not as fragrant as possible but a wonderful experience.

Decanted for about two hours and still had gobs of oak that masked incredible fruit. Around hour 3, the oak began to subside revealing rich but balanced dark fruit flavors with fresh acidity. Impressively balanced for such a powerful wine. Very brooding, there are so many layers there. I have another bottle and will hold that for another 3 years or so to see if the oak flavors integrate better. This wine has incredible potential but just too oaky at …

Really outstanding wine and very close to perfect. Decanted (found no solids) and started drinking about 40 minutes later. Needed more time, so we sampled throughout the evening. Nose of muted raspberries and dark red fruits with Cabernet spice. Very pure and precise flavors that evolved as it opened up even more. Nose was consistently beautiful and smelled of raspberry. Nice finish and medium finish. Beautiful medium mouthfeel and demonstrated that this is no fruit bomb. Glad we waited for …

Fabulous. I've owned this for many years but wanted at least some age on it before trying it. This is now starting to lose its pure fruit power and become more integrated. Still plenty of cassis, blackberry, clove and maybe even a touch of mint. Good length and overall a terrific wine

This is ready for primetime. Was beautiful right out of the bottle. Red fruited and silky, this exuded class. Had good supporting structure with nice minerality and spiciness. Very subtle notes of dark chocolate and tobacco but star is the fruit. Edged out in my mind by a 2010 Rocca Tesorina that we also drank that night.

I decided to open this wine after a period of drinking some mediocre juice. Tonight this was refreshing and overdue for me, however it was not great. Decanted for 1 hour and sipped over the next 2 hours. Tremendous flavors but still a little closed. It improved most at the end and I believe this wine is designed to age further and will improve. Aromas are typical Cali Cab and flavors are dominated by Cola, and mulberry with a long …
