Much as before, but seemed a bit deeper. Very nice with grilled halibut, pasta and pesto.

Quite nice, moderate full body, good balance and length, lovely bit of acid and oak, softer yellow fruit, lemon lurking, nicely done. Time seems to have helped, incipient tertiary flavors bring some warmth to the richness with nothing tired at all.

A deft touch with wood. Fantastic.

Taste: at first a quite prominent acidity. The acidity seems to have two components: one quite sharp and one quite refined. A hint of caramel. No prominent oak. At the third day also with a saline note. With food (baked fish) the refined component of the acidity fell away, just as some quite attractive nutty-like notes. So: best on its own. I can imagine, that we have drunk this a bit to young. With food: (86-), on its own: 87(-88).

Tasted at Jour Fixe at Herbig Weinimport. Nice nose, but couldn't identify the aromas because I was debating with another guy. I remember a pretty burgundian slant - thought it was reminiscent of a Pinot Blanc. That note was also on the palate along with the diesel and the salty theme. Chardonnay doesn't seem to be me my thing, although I recognize the wine as good ( 89-90 ). But the grape will lose against my Rieslings in the showdown …

Great bourgogne. A very discernable meursault character. By which I mean impressive depth and sap. But has the acid and verve to keept it solidly burgundian. This is a leading candidate amongst '06 bourgognes, village level and lower. I easily prefer this to the '06 Lafouge meursault.
