Drinking fantastic. If you’re not familiar with the area, this is about as good as Cab Sauv gets there. Will easily hold up for a few more years, but in a great place right now.

The French oak is obvious on the nose upon initial tasting but blows off after 30 min. Good fruit and a nice trellis of mixed hardwoods and Indian spice. Tannins were front and center but of the pleasant variety; not enamel etching. This wine works well now with a nice Rib Eye or Osso Bucco. Tasted on July 5, 2014 in Big Bear, CA.
