Forbes Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Rietkerk Vineyard

Nose is plum, blackberry, root beer, and lipstick. Flavors are black current, blackberry, toast, herbs, and very light oak. On the lighter side of medium bodied, this Cab is very smooth. Rich tanins and just a hint of acid, with a decent length finish. Easy drinker that also works well with food.

Good, and definitely enjoyed it...Cassis / red currant / red mulberry on the palette. But have to say we all thought "The Holdings" which we had drunk the night before was a better central coast Cabernet.

Good – clear dark ruby appearance; pronounced fruit on nose; off-dry; mid acidity; full body; mid tannins that softened on air; mid length finish; very fruity – red and black fruit; liquorice; “hot climate” fruitiness; oak

Very nice Cab for the price! None of that "cheap red" flavor I despise in so many inexpensive reds.
