This was a gorgeous wine with soaring aromas and crisp, precise palate... for about 20 minutes. Started to fall apart in the glass and the bottle ultimately went unfinished. This was bought on release by the person that served it, so I think it's safe to say this wine should not be cellared any longer.

Another lovely bottle of aged Ramonet. Consistent with previous note.

Grilled nut, popcorn, spearmint, minerals and yellow fruit on the nose and palate. It still has high acidity to give it freshness. A great mature ramonet. 92-93

The "Clos" dinner - aka Burgundies from Clos, or "walled" plots (Bar-a-Thym, Singapore) : A lovely start to the evening - this showed even better than a couple of bottles I had a few years back. It had a lovely nose, full of mature white Burgundy aromas - all nutty and caramelly, with a nice undertone of mineral and warm spice. The palate was still marked by super high acidity that kept the wine really fresh and lively, even though …

Brilliantly fresh and tasted no older than a decAde although the colour is deep golden yellow. Lots of lemon, creamy white mushrooms and creme Fraiche atop apricots, green mangoes and peachy nectarines all thinly sliced with pristine almond lemon lime crush wafer biscuit.

1989-1993 Burgundy Dinner (Jade Palace, Forum Galleria, Singapore) : Lovely, but amazingly young - this showed far more youthfully than the last bottle I had, coming across as even younger than the 1995 Verget Batard we had alongside when served blind. It had an absolutely beautiful nose, with a core of red apple aromas layered with honey and marzipan, chalk and earth, nuts and brioche, and then a waft of toasty spice drifting around the edges of the bouquet. A …

Team Pete Dinner (Cove99, Peck Seah Street, Singapore) : Ramonet Caillerets 1990. The oldest of the three Burgundies, this was lovely. It had the most complex nose of the lot, with drifts of earthy funk swirling around a core of buttery, creamy aromas, then sweet stone fruit and yeasty bread accents touched by little honey and spice. Just lovely. Great palate too. There was a lovely roundness to the wine, along with deliciously matured flavours of honeyed pears and kumquats, …

Leflaive vertikal : (Blind) Magnum. Klar, dyp, gyllen gul. Moden nese med smør, nøtter, fersken og mandler. Moden frukt også i munnen. Mye smørtoner, men ikke utpreget fet. Frisk syre. Tørr avslutning med tydelige honningtoner. Fin lengde. 91/92
