Decanted. Dark violet/almost black. Nose a bit closed at first. Some green pepper, then dark fruits. Palate very nice balance of dark fruits. Herbal. For a well-stored bottle, still drinking well, but not sure how much more benefit further aging would bring

A semi-translucent plum color. An enticing nose of fruit and oakey vanilla. Fortunately the wonderful aroma is carried forward in the flavor. A beautifully structured and balanced fruit-forward California Cabernet, finishes with velvety tannic goodness. As others have indicated, a bit of decanting really will allow this wine to open up.

(A-) Drinking beautifully. Well integrated and balanced. Not sure what more age is going to do to this, and I doubt I will let more than one bottle sit to find out. Graphite, vanilla, and an inky smoothness predominate. Give it 30-60 minutes of air, and enjoy.

I used other CT users suggestions that this wine benefits from a couple of hours of decanting. They were spot on. After 2+ hours in the decanter this wine came across as a very well balanced, wonderfully typical example of a Napa cabernet. For me, it was all about the balance in he wine. Good fruit, but not overpowering; tannins were definitely present, but not overwhelmingly so. It was "the wine" of the evening.
