This still has room to run, but very enjoyable with few signs of age. Makes me think this can go 5-10 more yrs, as fruit is front and center & tannins are still tightly balanced. Was great day 1 but found a 2nd gear day 2. DeLille winemaking offers great return in its youth but big payoff for patience.

60 minute decant. Deep ruby purple color. Aromas of stone fruit, cocoa, minerals, herbs and cedar. Full bodied palate has black fruit, black cherry, red berries, spice and mint minerals. Tannins are soft and well integrated. Drinking well.

Black and blue berry on the nose with a whiff of nettles, strong blueberry flavors with hints of arugula and graphite. It has firm, smooth tannins and a medium-long, somewhat astringent finish. I think there’s upside in the years to come.

Decanted 20 minutes Crimson in glass with garnet inthe depths Moving towards cigar and pencil-lead aromatics more than black fruit Lots of acidity, tasting fresh, an ‘11 coming into its own, possibly some time till its peak

This was on par with the previous tasting with a little more fruit. Drink your remaining quickly

Compared to the 2010, there was some fruit to go with less objectionable acids and tannins. Tried the 2nd day and decided less pleasant. Will go through the remaining 10's and 11's fairly quickly.

A tale of two wines: it was very nice right out of the bottle. However as we progressed it became clear that any significant time exposed to air and the wine was past mature. Drink now and with friends.

Similar to the 2009, the wine seemed past its prime. Sour cherry fruit with unpleasant acids and tannins

Was disappointed and had expected more having drunk the first release about 10 years ago. It was balanced, but not well melded. Have several more bottles and will weigh in over the next couple of months. Check back.

Cherries on the nose and palate. Classic left bank style and blend.

Cherry and graphite on the nose, which definitely says Washington State. The palate shows good fruit and firm but refined tannins. Lacks some of the depth I’ve experienced with other wines, but this is still really nice. Will keep for 2-3 more years, but might be at peak now.

From visit to winery. may have faded a bit from my tasting at vineyard. Still a fabulous wine. this winery constantly produces solid wines.

Pencil lead, bramble, developing cedar notes Smooth, dusty vibrant tannins, dene blackberries, penetrating acidity on top, long balanced tannins on finish Needs time; persistent tannins show promise of lovely balance in 2023 Now 91-92

My nephew and I tasted this at the Carriage House tasting room on 5/26/18. It had a rich, dense and complex bouquet of black cherry, black currant, cedar, earth, licorice and spice aromas. The palate was rich, dense and tight with flavors of mocha, cocoa, black cherry, black currant, plum, licorice, spice and minerals. 93+

Slightly sweet , red current, blackberry with balance, finesse, and finish. All there on this one. May be best Chaleur I have had.

An excellent bordeux. I'm lousy at the flowery description. Would benefit greatly from another 5 years in the cellar.

Friends and I tasted this at the Woodinville tasting room on 5/31/14. It had a deep, rich and complex bouquet of cassis, blueberry, blackberry, tobacco and spice aromas. The palate was rich and layered with flavors that followed the nose. Simply Awesome!

Fruit dominates the nose with cigarbox on the back. Rounded mouth feel with dark berries and smooth tannins hitting back and side of mouth. More immediately approachable than Harrison Hill, interesting contrast in styles, and very much a question of personal taste as to which you prefer
