bottled drunk over 3 days in different glasses. the nose is powerful, mainly dark fruits, spices, a bit of tobacco. in Zalto Bordeaux glass, the nose shows important notes of wood, less perceptible in Riedel universal. the palate is medium +, muscular but tanins are tamed. good freshness and length. with the Zalto glass, the finish is bit drying, with noticeable touch of wood (too much for my taste). with the Riddle glass the finish is rounder and the wood …

Still youthful and with time ahead of it. Tannin might outweigh the fruit. Not complex but well-made, enjoyable after a two-hour decant.

Decanted for about 1 hour. Still incredibly youthful. Subtle dark cassis toned fruit on the nose. Medium to full bodied with smooth tannins, delivering elegant dark fruit with a touch of cassis, good acidic structure and great balance. Very polished and poised but on the flip side lacking a bit complexity. Nevertheless a well crafted classy wine. Can easily hold for another 10 years.

Deep purple color. Intense nose of black currant (creme dé cassis), coffee, chocolate. Silky tanins, lots of cassis and a Long finish. Needs air, big glasses and has years ahead.

Crafted on the Andes, Altair blends selected grapes of the varieties from the terroir with predominance of the Cabernet Sauvignon. It is rare to find such complexity and elegance on south american wines. Purple foamy color with good consistency. Of unique style, wine opens up slowly with intense blackcurrant, blueberry, cherry, oak and lots of spices. Eucalyptus and menthol hang in the air. Silky and full. Plenty of flavors with a special highlight to the blackcurrant and cherry. Solid and …

As was noted by the astute crowd, this smelled like sour cream in the decanter.

Tasted and bought at the winery. A blend that will sidetrack skeptics of Chilean wine. Decanted for two hours. Gorgeous, with a solid structure and at least half a decade left ahead of it. Luscious and well balanced, with coffee and lots of red fruit on the nose. If you can still find it, buy it. It is one of the best wines from Chile, period.

After an hour's decant - very dark colour; lush nose. Lots of fruit on the palate with good tannic support. Very good length. Powerful yet well integrated. Outstanding.

On openning: Nose - Redcurrent. Palette - Round, smooth. Just abit of tannin. Lovely fruit. Very nice, even on openning. Abit of heat on the finish. After 35 minutes decant, the palette changed: it closed down abit. Now more tannic, more heat. Some unusual flavours emerged. Not sure that I like these flavours. Further decant time did not result in improvement.

Lovely, powerful, intense yet not over the top, a real gem of a wine - Dark, full bodied with notes of extreme plum, cherry, mint, chocolate, cigar box, leather, cedar and vanilla on the nose, very well made, firm tannins throughout, balanced, sweet on the finish with excellent length (92 Points).

MN. Um dos melhores vinhos que tomei nos últimos tempos. Esplêndido. Elegante do começo ao fim.
