Gut Oggau, Timotheus, Weinland

Ok so this is one of those really strange wines one needs to try to believe. And the fact we had it with Chinese food was probably one of the few combinations that worked. Not an orange wine but very much made like one and the result is closer to cider than wine. Cloudy orange pink in color almost like an unfiltered sake nigori. Yeast, Trocadero (apple/orange soda), apple juice/cider, citrus and minerals with a hint of paint bucket, dish cloth and animal fur. Less funky on day two, some grassy and/or herbal notes surfaced. Some effervescense initially.
