Opened and poured through an aerator. Long legs. Tannins remain, but not overpowering. Finish is dry from the tannins. Really would be better with food, in contrast to an after-dinner glass.

Structured tannins and a bit acidic. Plum, tobacco and very earthy. Not a typical big fruity Napa cab but very refined

Soft and velvety with medium plus body, cassis, vanilla and oak. Very drinkable for the price I'd put this a notch above most non single vineyard Napa Cabs.

Nose of graphite and dark fruit! The taste was all very dark fruit and some raisiny dried fruit. The tannins exhibited themselves late with a nice long finish of some soft tannins. Beautiful wine with meat!

Mighty deep tobacco, dark berries, plums, bitter chocolate, burnt toffee. Plenty of spine here.

Tasted at Duckhorn Vineyards. Deep dark ruby red color. More expressive and weighty than the Monitor Ledge CS tasted just before this wine. Well structured tannins and slightly acidic. The expressive nose jumps out of the glass with wafts of cedar, pencil shavings, toast, mint, cherries, loam and tobacco. Wonderful mouthfeel and layers of black peppercorns, cassis, mint, mocha, toast and dried figs. This wine was terrific now, but this it needs cellar time to really rock. Try again in …

Deep ruby color with slow legs. Very nice nose of cassis, oak and dark fruit. Black currant, plum and espresso on the palate. Long leathery finish.

Lovely Mountain Cab -- a bit tighter dark berry fruit with lots of body and fairly light tannins. A lovely wine to drink with a steak. We opened and poured a first glass to rest in lieu of decanting. No declination of the fruit while it was open (about 3 hours start to finish).

Opened for about 4 hours before drinking, and the wine has evolved nicely over the 3 years since my last bottle, nose of aromatic blue fruit, cassis and some graphite, the tannins have softened enough now and the mouth feel is quite smooth with nice minerality and focus with a core of blueberry there's also currants, tobacco leaf and some crushed rock well made wine and drinking nicely now

Opening up as we drink (began drinking immediately upon opening). Should allow some time to aerate for maximum enjoyment.

AVTG does Cabernet blind (Chenoa's house) : Tasted blind. Sweet, soft aromatics of crushed berry, currant, chocolate. I also got some coconuty notes in the bouquet and was surprised to discover later that this wine was coopered in 100% French oak. Nice, plush fruit on the attack, but with copious, toffee-coffee oak on the finish that needs time to integrate. Good. My #3, Group NR WOTN

The wine had a smell of tobacco and mint. The palate was full of rich dark fruit especially plum. On the mid palate I got tobacco, minerality and a hint of cola. It finished with smokey oak tannins. The complexity and structure were beautiful. This wine was a solid A-.

This bottle traveled all day to family reunion, and then some temp changes but showed well by the time it was poured. Decanted for about 90 mins before drinking. Shows the darker fruit of the westside of St. Helena vineyards- more plum, slight toffee than red fruits. Tannins are smoothing out, but I'll give my other bottle 1-2 years. Retasted at winery on 6/28/2010 and it was a little more closed up, black olive notes more prominent than I remember.
