Still a baby. Right now I'd mistake this for a really serious, high-elevation southern Rhone wine with a ot of its power still coiled.

Light purple color. Smoky nose of bacon fat and leather along with animal hide on top of red and black plums. Medium+ grip on the tannins with medium acidity, ripe but not heavy with flavors of roasted currants and blackberries. Lots of smoke, earth, spiced coffee, herbal liqueur, dark roast coffee. Pleasant but complex, this could use a few more years to unwind.

This was a fun one. A light, bright, cool mouthfeel reminiscent of pinot, but more robust flavors without verging into "too big". Would definitely buy again. Did not fade over 5-6 hours being open, uncooled.
