Pop and pour with the rest going into the decanter. Deep dark purple color in the glass. Brooding nose with dark red macerated fruits. Toasty sweet oak notes. The palate is like chocolate covered cherries with lovely pencil lead. Very pure with nice structure. As it opened in the decanter the palate thinned out a bit. This is a serious wine with great structure. Would suggest a 2 hour decant. This will benefit from a few more years in the …

Excellent cab, full bodied, big fruit, very good structure, well balanced and a nice long lasting finish. Certainly has the structure to age for several more years. Black fruit dominant on the front, midpalate has a rich texture with subtle vanilla with dark choco into the finish. Mid 90s. great bottle. -S
