Irony Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

Peppery mouth feel. The fruit was subdued, although wine opened up after about three hours out of the bottle. Surprisingly acidic (for a pinot noir) throughout. Completely unsuitable for pairing with a sweet baked pork chop. Oops.

Garnet, bright, clear. Light smoke, hard candy, cured meat notes Nice acidity, smkoky, gamy with pomegranate and hard cherry candy notes.

A beautiful transparent ruby wine with a light body. The nose has cedar/oak and ripe cherry syrup with a tinge on vanilla. The taste is smooth with cherry and some strawberry on mid-palate. The cherry is subtle throughout, the wine would be better served if the oak was subtle, or even just a hint. The finish is short with alcohol, cherry and oak.

Strawberry nose and palate. Oak spiciness. Thin body. Nothing special but godd value at restaurant

A pale garnet wine with a light body. Nose of cherry and strawberry, and a little hint of damp earth. Tastes of cherry and strawberry, and picks up a sour cranberry note mid-palate. The finish loses the cranberry immediately, and fades to a lingering strawberry. The balance is quite nice, but it lacks somewhat in structure. The tannins are really not in evidence until the finish. Fabulous QPR considering the price of many decent pinot noirs.

Quite boring New World wine. The "oak-vanilla" taste is far too dominant and destroys the wine's character. A bit thicker than the average Pinot Noir and it was relatively OK on the palate, a quite silky and smooth texture, so nothing wrong about that.

Inte alls kul, platt och tråkig utan frukt och pepprighet. En klar besvikelse.

Not nearly as pleasant as last time. Hmm maybe it was the mood, but I still conciser it is a lots of bang for the Buck. Just not a 90.

Lightly flavored cherry/strawberry water

Fantastic smell and lots of it. This is the best Pinot Noir in this price range. Very nice balanced and good body.
