The POV on this $8 Wine is crazy so I’ll give it a 90 rather than an 89. Lots of fruit, robust flavor and a good long lasting finish. Could go another year or two.

PnP, with promising aromas of black raspberry, black pepper, and barnyard on the nose. Stingy on the palate, with a blast of tart berry and faraway notes of graphite and pepper. High acid, maybe too high. Not pleasant.

Deep colour. The nose opened gradually and, after an hour or so, showed rich dark fruits with some soft oak and spice. The palate was full of fruit - mainly dark cherry and cherry stones at first but with deeper fruits developing - plums and damsons. Plenty of juicy acidity with soft, integrated skin tannins and vanilla flavours. Good with food. Apparently James Suckling gave this vintage of this wine 93 points.
