Made from the same blend as Mareth (50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% of a grape similar to Shiraz) this wine is very similar to port. Rich purple in colour, this wine showed earth and some plum fruit on the nose. The palate was velvety and very sweet on first taste, but the sweetness dissipates to show a good mid palate and nice finish. Tasted at Muirlea Rise Cellar Door, Martinborough, New Zealand
