NobleRottersSydney - Glenn's Canberra tour (Glass Brasserie, Sydney) : {screwcap} [Glenn] Gosh, this is very light and short. Little tannin evident, quiet acid. It’s not sweet or anything, but very dilute; the gently rotting aromas barely translate to much palate presence and it finishes desperately short. Not at all convincing. I’m not aware that much pinot comes out of the Canberra region – I suspect the temperature extremes over the season might be the major factor.

I think it is just a touch corked. A touch more tannin here. No, rather, some green character here that gives it some body and richness. Five vineyards from six of the sub AVA. 1/4 new french oak and THERE it is, a touch of whole cluster on it. So that's the green character.

A really light in color and flavor California Pinot. Nothing really wrong, and it does not taste all that bad, it is just very light. You can tell it is Pinot with a bit of wet forest floor flavor supporting the minimal red raspberry and light plum fruit. It is balanced and inoffensive. I've had worse.
