Colene Clemens Rosé of Pinot Noir

A rose at its peak. Lighter than in other vintages, but delicious.

You don’t often take roses very seriously but this one was outright impressionable. Opening with almost chewy (strawberry) fruit then, adding bright acidity, which made the whole package lipsmackingly good.

I did NOT taste 33 other wines with this. Lovely fruit and floral nose. Acids are crisp with decent sweetness but not too much. Starfruit, and something else I can't quite place on the palate. Finish is long, but not absurd. This is representative of a typical Oregon Rose. It's not a French Provence and if that's what you are expecting, you will be disappointed.
